It’s been five years since Roddy Doyle’s The Commitments last hit UK stages, so don’t miss your chance to check out one of the great modern musicals when it comes to Leeds Grand Theatre in June. Based on the BAFTA Award-winning film, it tells the story of a young working-class musician whose band hit the big time and quickly combust. It’s soundtrack is an all-time-great – ‘Night Train’, ‘Try A Little Tenderness’ and ‘River Deep, Mountain High’ are just a taste.
